As we reported when The Daily was released for iPad, Apple has been working on bringing paid subscriptions to the App Store. Well, that day has come, and Apple has officially announced it. Interestingly, convert flv to mov for mac, Apple is taking quite a unique approach to this. “Our philosophy is simple—when Apple brings a new subscriber to the app, Apple earns a 30 percent share; when the publisher brings an existing or new subscriber to the app, convert mp4 to mp3 for mac, the publisher keeps 100 percent and Apple earns nothing,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.
That makes a lot of sense if you ask me, but I’m not sure magazine companies will want to give up any of that revenue even though they will probably receive many more customers through Apple.
Even better, though, is the approach Apple is taking to privacy. Customer iTunes information will not be given to the publisher unless you specifically allow them to have it. This information, including your name, avi to ipod converter for mac, email address and zip code, will otherwise remain private.
Look for some pretty killer deals to come in the future from magazine apps such as Wired and Popular Science.
